這款 VDP.Gutswein 僅用 Saar 產區內的葡萄果實釀造,是酒莊產量最多的一款酒,平均樹齡30歲以上;手工採收,以野生酵母自然發酵,不鏽鋼桶陳釀6-7個月。

VAN VOLXEM

The 2018 Saar Riesling offers an aromatic nose that is clear, concentrated and flinty scented with crunchy slate and herbal notes. Impressive! Full-bodied and lush on the first palate, this is a crystalline, refreshing, mineral and well-structured dry Riesling with round and elegant fruit, lingering salinity and a stony lemon flavor. Very good and intensely aromatic, with slate-drive length, this is focused and precise 2018 Saar Riesling at its best.

The 2016 Saar Riesling displays ripe, concentrated fruit with a deep weathered slate aroma. It is warm and herbal rather than cool, as if it came from red, clayey slate. Lush, round and very elegant but also compact on the palate, this 12% alcohol Riesling offers a lot of intensity and mineral expression at this price point. The serious finish is fresh and aromatic and indicates excellent aging potential. I'd recommend cellaring this wine for at least another 3-5 years, since it will leave you with a sense of wonder in several years.

A fine fragrance of gooseberry and melon is supported by the merest of flinty mineral notions. On the palate the Saar Riesling is seriously dry, the fruit more fleshy than juicy, and there’s something of a herbaceous tang reminiscent of melon and pear peel, but also a hint of quinine minerality.
