Planeta源於西西里島西部的Menfi產區，該地的湖畔栽種著多樣的原生葡萄品種。在西西里島紮根了數百年，經歷了17代的傳承後，這舵交到了莊主迪亞哥（Diego Planeta）的手上。在他的帶領下，家族的製酒事業逐漸成形，從一間小形的家族酒莊，變成稍具規模的合作社，最終，迪亞哥在1985年正式成立了Planeta。
Sicily擁有著悠長的釀酒歷史，得天獨厚的葡萄種植環境也造就了許多現代風格的酒莊崛起，而傳統與現代這兩者間碰撞時所蹦出的火花，則讓無數葡萄酒愛好者與專家們趨之若鶩，紛紛來到這孕育葡萄酒多樣性的寶島一探究竟。
以往作為入門餐酒的大量生產地區，為了迎合市場需求，西西里島某種程度上更像是個新世界產區，島上滿布了如Chardonnay、Syrah甚至是Cabernet Sauvignon等各式國際品種。經過多年的努力，這些國際品種也累積出了足夠的實力在國際舞台上和其他世界佳釀一較雌雄。
Pastel colours. Raspberryish, mint and red pepper corns. The pepperiness continues on the palate, very juicy, fresh acidity, berryish fruit, clear, tactile mineral notes, remains compact and bundled from the attack to the finish, naturally well-balanced. Original assemblage; Nero d'Avola and Syrah.
A 50-50 blend of Nero d'Avola and Syrah, this delightful rosato has aromas of red berries, Spanish broom and bitter almond. On the crisp, easygoing palate, racy acidity accompanies sour cherry and orange zest before a note of white pepper signals the close.
The 2020 Sicilia Rose delivers a captivating bouquet full of peppery florals, young strawberries with stems and all, plus a note of flowery undergrowth that seals the deal. This is soft and enveloping, contrasting ripe melon with zesty yellow citrus and bright acidity. It’s incredibly long with cheek-puckering tension, as a mix of sour lemon and green apple slowly fizzles out. This is a high-energy 50/50 blend of Syrah and Nero d'Avola.
A really delicious rosé with crushed-stone, cherry and cooked-peach character. Festive and flavorful.
Made with 50% Nero d'Avola and 50% Syrah, the 2017 Sicilia Rosé (packaged in a screw cap bottle) opens to a pale pink color that recalls the wines of Provence in the South of France. But we are in Sicily (and in a hot vintage), so compared to a Côtes de Provence, this expression is saltier (thanks to those island sea breezes) and less fruit-intensive. It also has cassis and dried raspberry. The results are fresh, zesty and fine.
