Planeta源於西西里島西部的Menfi產區，該地的湖畔栽種著多樣的原生葡萄品種。在西西里島紮根了數百年，經歷了17代的傳承後，這舵交到了莊主迪亞哥（Diego Planeta）的手上。在他的帶領下，家族的製酒事業逐漸成形，從一間小形的家族酒莊，變成稍具規模的合作社，最終，迪亞哥在1985年正式成立了Planeta。
Sicily擁有著悠長的釀酒歷史，得天獨厚的葡萄種植環境也造就了許多現代風格的酒莊崛起，而傳統與現代這兩者間碰撞時所蹦出的火花，則讓無數葡萄酒愛好者與專家們趨之若鶩，紛紛來到這孕育葡萄酒多樣性的寶島一探究竟。
以往作為入門餐酒的大量生產地區，為了迎合市場需求，西西里島某種程度上更像是個新世界產區，島上滿布了如Chardonnay、Syrah甚至是Cabernet Sauvignon等各式國際品種。經過多年的努力，這些國際品種也累積出了足夠的實力在國際舞台上和其他世界佳釀一較雌雄。

From high-altitude vineyards grown on the slopes of Mount Etna, this fragrant white has intense aromas of mimosa flower, citrus, white stone fruit and Mediterranean brush. Racy and delicious, the focused palate boasts great mineral tension, delivering apricot, Meyer lemon, apple and tangy mineral set against crisp acidity. This also offers good mid-term aging potential.
Stand back because here comes an extrovert and intense dry riesling. Pungent candied-orange and fresh persimmon aromas pour from the glass. Somehow manage to be very ripe and sleek at the same time, with plenty of fresh-pineapple flavor. The vibrant acidity at the finish is married to salty minerality and wild-herb freshness. From 800 meters up Etna, on soil derived from lava that flowed in 1614.
